ROYAL GORGE ROUTE RAILROAD is a heritage railroad located in Canon City, Colorado. The railroad transits the Royal Gorge on a 2-hour scenic and historic train ride. A highlight of the gorge route is the 1879 hanging bridge located along the north side where the gorge narrows to 30 feet (9.1 m) and the sheer rocks walls plunge into the river.
